"What you are, and who you are should provide greater clarity about where you have been and where you are headed."
Hi! I have not posted in the past 3 Sundays because I got preoccupied with work because I was applying for an internal role. The dust has settled on that (I didn't get it 🙁but it is what it is, I'm okay now).
I also took some time to craft out a monthly content map with subtopics that I would like to cover. I also decided that I will move my publish date to Saturdays. I'm doing this because
- I want to provide more value from my content. I believe I have something to share and I hope to share my knowledge in a more digestible, informative and structured manner. I have always been very fond of story-telling and writing, so hopefully, this way I can continue to hone on it.
- I want to have a reason to research more on the cognitive side of climbing - writing about something forces one to try to be an expert at it. I do not like putting my foot where my mouth is, so I need to ensure what I'm saying is grounded. Back when I was working at Boulder Movement, I did quite a bit of actual research on climbing - the physics involved behind it, the sciences, the theories and the philosophies. I want to go back to doing that. I do not have a degree in Sports Science so this is my way of self-teaching.
- I want to improve my content and marketing skills because I wanted to diversify my skillset (SEO gurus, please help me - I took forever to understand how to connect my Google Search Console to this website 😅). Outside of climbing and coaching, I want to have other skillsets. I've been handed a powerful tool from HubSpot and I want to utilise it fully. Plus, I also want to have a go at creating assets, building reach, coding my own front-end stuff, learning how to create plans based on analytics report and what have you. I'm quite excited for this though I feel like I might be biting into this more than I can chew!
On that note, do give me a follow on Instagram if you can - I appreciate it so much ❤️ I plan to push more bite size content on that platform on a higher frequency!
This is just a short update post. I will share more on November's climbing topic - I need to do a bit more research and planning. Any guesses on what it is?
Also, do you all have a topic in mind you want me to cover? Just let me know!
